CHICAGO – January 14, 2022 – AIM Consulting, a leading technology consulting firm and Addison Group company, is furthering its commitment to digital transformation and innovative solutions with the addition of Jeff Rubingh, Central Region Director of Digital Experience and Innovation.
In this role, Rubingh will lead AIM’s digital product offerings in Chicago and Minneapolis to support AIM’s consulting business and help build the consulting organization in AIM’s Central Region.
“I am so excited to be joining AIM, especially at this momentous time as we head into the 20s, what I’ve often called ‘the digital decade.’ I look at Chicago as the land of opportunity, the very reason I moved here. There are 38 Fortune 500 companies here and many more of the Fortune 2000,” says Rubingh. “With such an abundant landscape of opportunity and with AIM’s rich history and talent, we can become the most trusted digital advisor, a talent magnet for creative consultants and leaders, and a true consulting growth story. I’m looking forward to being part of that story!”
Rubingh is a Computer Science graduate from the University of Michigan and moved to Seattle, what he calls “the land of blooming technology.” In Seattle, he built a flight management system for Boeing, joined a startup focused on the future of publishing (later acquired by Adobe), and got a patent for building the Snipping Tool for Microsoft. However, he felt the itch to broaden his horizons to technology consulting where he has had a productive career proposing, selling, designing, building, and delivering technology solutions. Rubingh eventually landed at Slalom in their early years and played a role in building their innovation team. He has also spent time at Deloitte Digital and most recently, Globant where he served as the Vice President of Consulting, Product, and Innovation, building out their digital and innovation footprints.
“Jeff brings a hyper-focus on ensuring clients not only see the state-of-the-art in technology today but that they’re able to approach the future and compete,” says Jack Walser, Managing Director of AIM’s Chicago location. “Over the last decade, Jeff has focused on a mix of existing and emerging technology and constantly advocates for a posture of helping companies innovate, or to ‘discover the future and act on it before it happens, get there before the competition.’ His three decades of experience in both consulting and in the [technology] industry have yielded expertise in every facet of technology development.”
Jeff’s track record of innovation ensures AIM’s clients and employees have the power to connect the digital thread that weaves emerging digital technologies together into innovative solutions that solves clients’ critical problems.
“We stand at the brink of an emerging technological age that will continue to expand and converge,” said Rubingh. “There are the incumbents: mobile, web, cloud, data and social; and the emerging: artificial intelligence, extended reality, crypto, IoT, autonomy, Web3. How will corporations have a chance of understanding, implementing, and delivering on the promise that these technologies bring? AIM is committed to ensuring clients have the tools to take advantage of these technologies.”
