Location: This position will sit out of our Bellevue, WA, location, and will oversee our Sales teams in our Seattle and Denver markets.

The Vice President of Sales is a senior sales leader responsible for driving regional revenue growth, forecasting performance, developing market strategy, and leading a team of Sales Directors and Account Executives. This role serves as the primary sales executive for an assigned region, ensuring alignment between organizational strategy, market opportunities, account growth initiatives, and sales execution.

The VP of Sales partners closely with Consulting Leadership, Recruiting, Marketing, Operations, and Executive Leadership to identify growth opportunities, expand strategic client relationships, and deliver predictable business results. The ideal candidate is a proven consulting sales leader with exceptional executive relationship skills, strong commercial acumen, and a demonstrated track record of building high-performing sales teams.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Growth & Forecast Ownership

  • Own regional revenue, gross margin, and sales forecasting performance.
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies designed to achieve growth objectives.
  • Drive accountability around pipeline generation, opportunity progression, and forecast accuracy.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and proactively address risks to business performance.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities and competitive threats within assigned geographies and industries.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on annual growth planning and business targets.
  • Own Personal and team growth expectations requiring a player/coach mentality. This role requires the successful candidate to utilize their network and region to find new opportunities.

Sales Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, develop, coach, and inspire a team of Directors of Sales.
  • Establish clear performance expectations, coaching plans, and career development pathways.
  • Partner with directors to improve account management, strategic account planning, and new business development execution.
  • Drive consistency in sales methodology, forecasting discipline, CRM utilization, and reporting practices.
  • Build and sustain a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Strategic Account & Market Leadership

  • Guide regional account strategy for key clients and priority growth targets.
  • Support complex pursuits and executive-level client engagements.
  • Develop deep understanding of industry trends, market dynamics, and client business challenges.
  • Ensure sales teams effectively position AIM’s consulting capabilities across Digital, Data & Analytics, Cloud, and Delivery Leadership.
  • Partner with Consulting Leaders to align client solutions with market demand and growth opportunities.

Executive Relationship Development

  • Establish and maintain trusted advisor relationships with senior client executives.
  • Participate in executive briefings, strategic account reviews, and business development initiatives.
  • Represent AIM within the regional business community and relevant industry organizations including business reviews with customers.
  • Serve as a visible leader in pursuit strategy, client retention, and account expansion efforts.

Regional Strategy & Alignment

  • Ensure alignment between regional execution and organizational sales strategy.
  • Partner with SVP of Sales and executive leadership on market priorities and investment decisions.
  • Drive collaboration across sales, consulting delivery, recruiting, marketing, and operations teams.
  • Support expansion into emerging industries, service offerings, and strategic accounts.
  • Evaluate regional business performance and recommend corrective actions when necessary.

Reporting & Operational Excellence

  • Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and performance reporting.
  • Present regional business performance, trends, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Ensure CRM data quality and adherence to organizational reporting standards.
  • Leverage business intelligence and analytics to improve sales effectiveness and decision making.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ yrs Experience selling technology consulting including professional services, digital transformation, cloud, data, AI, and application development solutions.
  • 5+ years leading sales managers or sales leadership teams.
  • Demonstrated success achieving multi-million-dollar revenue targets and regional growth objectives.
  • Proven ability to build and develop high-performing consultative sales organizations.
  • Experience managing executive-level client relationships within large and mid-market organizations.
  • Strong forecasting, pipeline management, and business planning capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, presentation, and executive influence skills.
  • Experience utilizing CRM and sales performance management systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience working within a multi-market consulting organization.
  • Strong network within AIM’s target industries, including technology, retail, healthcare, financial services, energy, travel, and manufacturing.

Compensation and Benefits

For the position, the base salary pay range is $175K/yr – $225K/yr, plus bonus. In addition to an annual salary and bonus, all positions at AIM Consulting include the following: Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance (spousal and dependent coverage), 401k with company matching, paid certifications, disability insurance, commuter benefits, paid time off and sick days, paid family leave, and wellness programs. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.
